If you’ve been waiting for the right weekend to come back, this is it.

What’s Happening This Fall

Cooperage Inn Fall Festival: Weekends Through October 25

Every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6pm, weather permitting, Cooperage Inn in Baiting Hollow turns its outdoor space into a weekend-long fall celebration: live music, hot cider, roasted corn, bratwurst, and a full lineup of local bands each week through Sunday, October 25. It’s an easy stop on the way back from a day of wine touring, and it runs every weekend through then, so there’s no wrong weekend to catch it.

Greenport Maritime Festival: October 16-18

The 36th Annual Greenport Maritime Festival takes over the village for a full weekend, now rescheduled to October 16 through 18 after the original September dates were postponed for weather. Friday night opens with the Land & Sea Gala in Mitchell Park. Saturday and Sunday bring the festival into downtown Greenport, with a Maritime Parade, a pie-eating contest, and a new community rowing program where you can try your hand at a traditional wooden gig. On Sunday morning, October 18, local fish cutters go knife to knife in a fish filleting contest.

Stay at North Fork Resort and you’re a short drive from all of it, close enough to spend the day in the village and be back on your porch by evening.

Spooktacular at North Fork Resort: Saturdays, October 17, 24 & 31

Halloween comes to the resort three Saturdays this month, just for guests staying with us. Arts, crafts and games start at 11:00. At noon, lunch is available at Miss May’s with Spooktober specials. The costume contest and trick or treating start at 3:00, and the spooky walk is at 7:00. Book a cottage for the weekend and the whole celebration is right outside your door. See each Saturday on our events page.

Make a Weekend of It

Any one of these is worth the drive out. Together, they make for a fall weekend that feels like it was built for exactly this: a festival day, a quiet morning after, and a cottage waiting for you at the end of the day. On Saturday, October 17, you can catch the Maritime Festival in the village and be back at the resort for trick or treating at 3:00.
