Planted in 2003, their vineyards, winery, and tasting garden are set against the backdrop of two historic farms, which have been in continuous agricultural production since the 1700s.

LIEB Cellars

LIEB Cellars grapes are grown on three vineyard sites totaling 54 acres, all planted on sandy-loam soils less than a mile from the Long Island Sound or Peconic Bay.

They have 11 vinifera varieties planted (Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Teroldego, Lagrein, Gold Muskateller) and are proud to say that their vines are some of the oldest on Long Island.

Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc at the Bridge Lane Vineyard were planted in 1983, shortly after the founding of their region in 1973. In 1999, they planted the reds, all Bordeaux varietals, at the Oregon Road vineyard. Finally, Syrah, Teroldego, Lagrein, and Golden Muskateller were planted in 2013 at a vineyard that we lease a few miles away in Southold. They boast the largest contiguous plot of Pinot Blanc in the US at 14 acres.

As the Founding Vineyard on the North Fork of Long Island, Borgese Vineyard is compelled to honor its roots and authenticity. When Ann Marie and Marco Borghese purchased the vineyard in 1999, their commitment was the same—grow the best grapes and produce the best “old world” style. Fast-forward to the present day, second-generation sole owner Giovanni Borghese is at the helm with the same level of passion.

They are a small team with a big heart and love sharing their craft and proud history with their guests. While visiting wine country, we encourage you to stop in and bring a picnic, take a selfie in front of their mural, and book a private tour. They have the perfect venue for all occasions if you want to host an intimate event.

McCall Wine's philosophy has always been to find one or two things you are good at and do them well. They planted initially, knowing they wouldn't sell their grapes until the time was right to make a very special wine. 2007 was the vintage we found to be their jumping-off point, an extraordinary Pinot Noir.

At their North Fork Vineyard, they make great efforts to be meticulous and sustainable farmers. The addition of their wind turbine has provided their farm with clean wind energy, enough that they can also supply clean power to the Long Island Power Association. They see themselves as stewards of this special place and are proud of their wine, an example of what this land can yield when treated with respect and care.

Jamesport Vineyards is a father-son collaboration that began in 1986, making it one of the North Fork’s oldest vineyards. Since Ron Goerler Sr. acquired the 165-year-old barn that houses the winery and tasting room, a lot has changed aesthetically and agriculturally. The tasting room has increased to accommodate an ever-growing number of visitors.

The great lawn out back provides the perfect setting for the Jamesport weekends, when people gather to enjoy great wine, light fare, and summer jazz concerts. Other event spaces throughout the property provide the perfect setting for weddings, private parties, and small gatherings. In the vineyard, Ron Jr. continues to update their plantings, ensuring they produce the highest quality of fruit available in the region today. The Goerlers have seen their commitment to upgrades result in an increased customer base and greater visibility of their world-class wines.
